By Miyakan in New Zealand,
It's a Monorail guy!
By dimc in Austria,
I always love when these figures come in a bin. Airports have so many workers! I like to swap their hats and hairs though, gotta have variety.
By StyleCounselor in United States,
I'm leavin', on a jet plane. I dunno when I'll be back again.
By WemWem in United States,
Classic Town. I love the old Airport subtheme.
By brick_r in Canada,
@skypilot22 : Debatable...he's clearly violating the clause/rules about "workplace area safety" being out on a runway with a plane taking-off...probably some F.A.A./Transport Canada/other aviation overseers rules as well...probably hit Timmy too...:D
By brick_r in Canada,
Oh...and I ALMOST forgot (and because I gots to...:D):
Rumack : Captain, how soon can you land?
Captain Oveur : I can't tell.
Rumack : You can tell me. I'm a doctor.
Captain Oveur : No. I mean I'm just not sure.
Rumack : Well, can't you take a guess?
Captain Oveur : Well, not for another two hours.
Rumack : You can't take a guess for another two hours?
:D
By AhsokaTrooper08 in United States,
That is one cool looking torso print. Honestly, think it still holds up 36 years later!
By Atuin in Germany,
I always wanted these guys after seeing them in the 1990 ideas book.
I am not sure, but I think I still have none of those torsos...
Btw that colored stripe is a nod to the old Legoland flag. It was presumably first used for set packaging in the mid (?) 1970s and later on for those bandolier thingies on Legoland guard performer's uniforms (which also got a minifig keychain representation).
Not sure how they got the order of colors figured out, by the choice of colors is said to be inspired by "Tableau I" by Piet Mondrian, a painting that also appeared (in brick form) in the credits to Lego Island (1997).

AIR003 > AIR005
(well, at least in my collection....)
By Brickalili in United Kingdom,
A plane on his shirt but only 50% of his appearances are with planes; not that big of a fan then are you pal?

Hey, don't be too harsh....the guy also needs to live somewhere and commute from town to work. Unless Jeff Bezos starts an airline, you can't expect people to be on the job 24/7....

He left us on a proppeller plane. We do know he won't be back again.
(though I'd say those artistic liberties made it a better song)
By Binnekamp in Netherlands,
Airport!
Ooooh
Airport!
You've got a smiling face
You took the one I love so far away
Flying away
Flying awaaaaay
By kdu2814 in United States,
The white zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in the red zone.

Probably a Concorde technician, and they’ll just blame his gross incompetence on some random US-based airline.
By Ridgeheart in Netherlands,
Either I got this guy from the City Battlepack, or maybe I was lucky enough to get the airplane.
I damned sure didn't get him from one of the biggest sets, that's for sure. But dang, what a champ.
By Murdoch17 in United States,
'All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin'
It's early morn
The taxi's waitin'
He's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome
I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go...'
By Chilis_no in Norway,
This guy makes me smile :)
